清々しいほどのスルー

My daughter was worried about something while she was in her school and talked it to me on the way home. I wondered how she could cope with it and eventually I gave her my advice. But she seemed not to listen to me. She was jumping earnestly instead with her eyes to the road.

"What are you doing?" I asked her. "I must jump" said she. "Why?" replied. "I must jump over the wheels that come over us!" She said to me pointing the cars coming back and forth on the road beside us. She was not worried actually. 娘が学校でちょっと悩みがあったようで、学校からの帰り道、私に話してきました。気に食わない男の子が居るから嫌だという、悩みというより不満という要素が強い内容でしたが(その子はいつも娘をからかうんですよね)。 その話を聞き、どうしたものかと考えあぐね、私なりの考えを娘に伝えました。 しかし言い終わった後、娘からの反応が全くないので、ふと横を見てみると、当の娘は今までの流れを完全にぶった切り、一心不乱にジャンプしているんです。 「…何してるの。」と訊くと 「あのね、ジャンプしないといけないの」と娘。 「え、どうして？」 「車が来たときにジャンプしないといけないの」 「そうしないと死んじゃうの」 まったく人の話を聞いていない娘。 本当にありがとうございました。
