My daughter leaned 作家 today. 家 is a little bit hard for her, because it is not combination of any kanji. As she was practicing 家、she asked me the difference between 作家 and 作者. Those two words are very similar in meaning, almost same meaning, but explain from different aspect. I told her the difference, and she understood. Now I am looking for the translations in English, and found it was same English word, which was "author" or "writer" Maybe my way of searching is not good.
